Passenger Vehicle dealership in Milnerton requires a Bookkeeper to join their team
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To reconcile and balance creditor/debtors accounts using General Dealership policies and General Accounting procedures.
The job will be considered successful under the following conditions:
- Monies paid
- Books of Dealership and supplier balanced
RELATIONSHIPS AND PERSONAL ACTIVITIES
- Directly responsible to the Financial Manager.
- Relationships with Customers and company staff.
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Bank monies
- Process cash book
- Perform Bank reconciliation and ensure it balances
- Follow up age analysis
- Manage and reconcile floorplan statements
- Assist in preparation of monthly commissions etc.
- RFC correctly allocated. Credit notes issued to customer. Customer account balances
- Compile debtors statements
- Post General Ledger
- Do petty cash
- Process suppliers invoices
- File invoices and recons – daily (at this stage done by Gertrude)
- General Filing.
- Daily cash flow monitoring in conjunction with FM
- Report to Financial Manager
- Assist Financial Manager, when required to do so.
REQUIREMENTS
- Suitable tertiary education in retrospect to the job
- Motor Dealership experience
- Experience as a working Bookkeeper in a car dealership
